Grading:
Homework I: 30 points,
Midterm I/Homework II: 30 points,
Final: 40 points.

Remarks:Those who do not attend at least 30% of the lectures
and do get a
failing grade in the exams will receive NA as their final letter grades.
Those who cheat in the first homework will take a midterm. Others
can take the second homework instead.

For the first 7 weeks, I may give you handouts and I
shall cover some sections from "Groups and
Symmetry" by M. A. Armstrong. For the second 7 weeks, we will follow
"Reflection
Groups and Coxeter Groups" by James E. Humphreys.
